Going where the wind blows

Jauh-jauh hari udah ngincer jadual libur 4 hari, tapi jelang hari H malah gak ada acara sama sekali. Padahal lagi bener-bener ingin refreshing. Ngobrol-ngobrol sama teman ngomongin kemana enaknya ngabisin waktu libur. Mulai dari Sedudo, WBL, Probolinggo, Bali, sampe akhirnya pilihan jatuh ke Jogja.

Jadilah traveling dadakan plus packing seadanya. Ngepos 2 kali di Ngawi & Solo, tiba di Jogja menjelang senja. Ternyata Jogja rame banget....

2 hari di Jogja lanjut perjalanan ke Solo & Karanganyar.  Having fun di air terjun Grojogan sewu, Tawangmangu dan wisata budaya ke Candi Sukuh.

Again, liburan ke Bali.....Kali ini dengan anggota Dharma Wanita Persatuan BP3 Jawa Timur & beberapa anggota keluarga. Seru, heboh, plus suplai logistik yang melimpah. Maklum bareng ibu-ibu, hehe....dan yang pasti nggak terlewatkan, wisata belanja.......

Keliling Bali dari pantai ke pantai & shopping center sampe kaki bengkak. Tapi tetap  antusias seru-seruan naik banana boat di  Tanjung Benoa Watersport, diceburin ke laut & berbasah-basah ria sambil merasakan asinnya air laut. Bener-bener asssiiiiiiiiiiinnnn........but it was really fun anyway.

Last week, we, member of Pamungkas yoga class, went to Prigi, a beach at java south coast. We practiced yoga there. Wow...it was so windy and it made our mats folded again & again. And there was no music as usual, only the waves around us. Since the beach is a public area, there were many visitors watched us practicing yoga. 
After the class, we went to Karanggongso beach.

The typical of south coast beaches are white sands & located in the highlands. So it offers nice view for sightseeing. No wonder if they become favorite objects for vacation.

long & winding road

I never imagine that a trip to Malang could be a long journey. It took 6 hours by car from Mojokerto to Bantur, Malang. Through the rain, traffic jam, and such an off road adventure passed through dark winding  and stony road.

We really had a long trip there. From Balekambang at the south coast to Songgoriti at the western region highland. Mountains, forests, plantations, accompanied us almost along the way.

Unfortunately, the rain fell down all night long made us had no chance to have fun at Batu Night Spectacular, an amusement park. So we only went out for sightseeing in a new mall and having dinner at  Wisata Kuliner, a foodcourt near city square with free wifi, after 2 days with bad signal, and an acoustic band live performances.

Having fun with friends was our theme on this holiday. Sunbathe on the beach, picking 'salak' & mango right from the trees, window shopping at 'Batu Town Square', until rain in 'Batu Secret Zoo'. And, of course, the off road sensation!

It's a long trip to Bali Island. From Mojokerto, east Java, we need about 12 hours by bus to go to Bali. Tired & sleepy all along the way. But it's worthy!

Ramadhan 1432 H

Ramadhan is usually similar with the word casually, reduced working hours, and activity was reduced too. Before Ramadhan this year I have also prepared 'relaxing myself'. But it's different this year. On Friday we came home from work even one hour longer than usual. And there were also many activities in the office during Ramadhan. We had tausiyah every Friday, sharing  iftar for orphans and shared some snacks and drink for road users. Beside, there were also some iftar with committee mates. Understandably, the activities usually ended right before the Maghrib, so all breaking fast together in the office. We cooked together at the home office. Just imagine, we should cook for many people while we're fasting. Tired for sure, but glad to see my friends enjoy & ate all the dishes we've cooked.

Overall, we have successfully run all the events programmed well and smoothly, Alhamdulillah, thank God. Although there was also an incident that could make a cranky, resentful, and arrgggghhh made all the animals that exist in my head wanted to jump out. But it's ok, the most important thing was our good intention, fill in the month of Ramadan with religious and social activities. Hopefully next year we can make more programs, and expect more support from everyone.

At the end of Ramadhan, hopefully Allah accept all our worship. And may we be given strength and patience  for the days to come. Happy Eid Mubarrak, Minal aidin wal Faizin.

a journey of love

Last night, on the way home there was an interesting sight that made me wanna write and share it here. As usual, I went home by bus. The sky was clear and the traffic was not too crowded. I was sitting at the front row, so I could freely look forward.  In the middle of the road, suddenly my eyes caught 'a beautiful scenery'. Right in front of the bus, at the back of a pickup truck, two lovebirds sat in the corner. Either they run out of charges, or perhaps deliberately backpacking ..... I dunno .... it's their business. Anyway, I smiled myself when I saw them. Imagine, in such conditions, which I thought was uncomfortable, in the dust, fumes, and the night breeze, they looked very enjoy. Sitting side by side, chatting intimately, laughing together ..... so sweet .... How easy and simple to be happy. 

No matter under any circumstances, a lovely togetherness always brings happiness, make people who watch it smile and feel happy too ........Love is beautiful...........

a note from safari park

It seems The Safari Park has become a favorite place for vacation. A few days ago, when I was there with some friends, wow...that forested place was full of visitors. Cars were crawling down the forest areas where wild animals released. So there were less convenient, and less satisfied too watching animals around. Then I thought, why they didn't set a queue system or a restriction of visitors. Or it's better the visitors should only be observing around by shuttle bus of the park management, so the animals won't feel cramped and noisy by hundreds or even thousands of cars passing by. But, maybe because it was used or was forced to get used to, the animals were overlooked it. An orang utan even kept looking at us when being photographed from the car. Maybe it wanna say, "What you looking at?!" hehehe

Although I was happy being on holiday with friends, but I felt joyless inside for the animals. While we were watching the dolphin show, it occurred to me how the dolphins had to work so hard to get the food rations from the trainer (or precisely, the park manager). If they existed in their habitats, their lives are certainly much more cheerful. They can jump higher and dance more beautifully.

It happened too when I took photos with baby lion. At first I was afraid because usually I couldn't even touch a cat. But as one put in my arms...My Lord...bless them all. Just like babies, they were so cute and innocent at all. One of them looked sleepy and then fell down on the stone table. There was a compassion came along with a smile seeing their cuteness. Why should be separated from its mother?

Maybe I'm too sensitive. Maybe it's better this way. In the wild, their existence threatened by humans, who knows how long they will go on destroying nature without feeling guilty.

Aquarius

Aquarius is the sign of visionaries, unconventionality and intellectual independence. Aquarius are the people who deviate from the crowd and go their own way. They are always after intellectual stimulation, constantly discovering something new, forming new opinions and stubbornly traveling their way regardless of what other people think.
Aquarius are filled with paradoxes, they are interested in the opposite ends of the spectrum, they like to be alone yet are social butterflies, they like to experience both sides and see both opinions as they formulate new ideas with their forward thinking, active mind.

Aquarius have a 'live and let live' policy where everyone is free to be themselves, an Aquarius never judges others because as human beings, we are all equal and entitled to our own opinions. They are verbally skilled and very witty, they observe people and learn how to interact with others through observation. They can be masters of manipulation justifying anything they do or think. As a result, they can deal with any type of personality and adapt to any situation. They welcome change because boredom is their enemy. Anything new is an opportunity to Aquarius.
Aquarius can act as an expert on any topic, they are very good at inflating their own importance, they feel it is deserved because their eccentricity makes them unique. Conventional people beware, Aquarius likes to shock and deviate from the norm, this is how they live. Aquarius is known to pick at anyone they find weak or dull-minded. It is simply an easy target for verbal exercise for them, no harm is meant but it might be taken from the other person.
Deep inside, Aquarius would never intentionally hurt anyone, they have respect for every human, even thought this might not seem apparent to the more emotional types.
